Open House ‘Season’ Begins Next Week: Getting to Know You!
We are happy to announce the Open House schedule begins next week. It has been a long time since we’ve been able to conduct this time-honored event in person and we are looking forward to seeing everyone. Open House gives you a chance to see your child’s learning environment ‘up close and personal.’ Plus – the school staffers and administrators are able to showcase all that is good about their school!
Here are the first 4 Open Houses scheduled for next week (they are all on Thursday, Sept. 15th).

Monday, Sept. 12: Board of Education Business Meeting, Parsons, 7:00 p.m.
The Board of Education will conduct its normal business meeting on Monday evening in the BOE Meeting Room in Parsons beginning at 7:00 p.m. Members of the community are welcome to attend to learn more about MPS and Board business. Here’s what’s on the agenda: Student Reports, Public Comment, Chair’s Report, Superintendent’s Report (SEL Student Support Services, Back to School Report), Human Resources Report, Disbursement Report, Consideration of Minutes: August 22, 2022. Saturday, Sept. 10: Community Resource Fair (FREE!), Sponsored by Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, Held at the Wakeley Comm/Rec Center in North Haven, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
Here’s a wonderful event for anyone who wants to know more about the many services and programs available to us. The Community Resource Fair will be held at the Wakeley Community and Recreation Center on 7 Linsley Street in North Haven. FREE!! Some of the agencies that will be in attendance include: Agency on Aging of South Central CT, Boys & Girls Club of Greater New Haven, Cornell Scott Hill Health Center, End Hunger CT, the Diaper Bank of CT, and many more. ‘Party in the Stacks’ Returns in October to Benefit Milford Public Library
Great news! The Party in the Stacks event will return to the Milford Public Library – thanks to the efforts of the Friends of the Library. This year’s theme is Where Dreams Come True and attendees are welcome to come dressed as their favorite storybook character. This evening event is for adults only. Mark your calendars now: Saturday, October 22nd. Tix can be purchased now thru the end of September at $45 … if you wait ‘til Oct. 1st or later, tix go up to $55 each.
