Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are pleased to report we have received a robust response from the school community for the new voluntary weekly In-School COVID-19 Testing Program, to be administered through Progressive Diagnostics. The program will begin on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 in each of our 14 schools. Here are some details about this voluntary program and its operation.
- Tests will be administered to all participants every TUESDAY (see timetable below).
- Students will go to the testing location within the school building, where a Milford Public Schools (MPS) staff member will be on hand to chaperone students during the testing window.
- Test results are expected within a 24-hour period (if this changes, we will notify you).
- Once your child’s initial test has been completed, you will receive an email from Progressive Diagnostics, containing a link and a registration code to set up your Progressive Patient Portal. This will give you access to view your child’s results for the duration of the program. If you do not set up your portal account, you will not receive notifications about your child’s test results.
- As a parent or guardian, you are responsible for viewing your child’s test results and keeping them home if they test positive.
- In the case of a positive test result, parents/guardians will receive notification from MPS advising them to keep their child home until they receive further direction from the school. The school nurse will also follow up with you on quarantine information.
- If schools are closed or have a delay/early dismissal on a Tuesday (ex: inclement weather), testing will be canceled for that week.

High Schools
Jonathan Law: 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.
Joseph A. Foran: 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.
The Academy: 8:30 - 8:45 a.m.
Middle Schools
East Shore: 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Harborside: 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
West Shore: 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Elementary Schools
Calf Pen Meadow: 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.
John F. Kennedy: 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m.
Live Oaks: 10:30 - 11:00 a.m.
Mathewson: 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.
Meadowside: 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Orange Avenue: 11:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Orchard Hills: 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m.
Pumpkin Delight: 10:30 - 11:00 a.m.
Participation in the program is done through a rolling enrollment process. If you have already enrolled your child and submitted your signed consent form, your child is all set and will be tested every week through the end of the program.
If you haven’t yet enrolled your child in this voluntary program but would like to, you may do so by completing this Participation/Consent Form. Children enrolled by 12:00 noon on Mondays will be included in that week’s testing session (Tuesdays). To disenroll your child from the testing program please email your request to coviddetect@milforded.org.
