The Milford Public School district is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Christianne Golesky to the position of Instructional Supervisor of Student Development and Wellness (Gr. 6-12) for the start of the 2021-22 academic year. Dr. Golesky will fill the spot left open by the departure of Mrs. Annaliese Spaziano, who recently was named Assistant Superintendent of curriculum and instruction for East Lyme Public Schools. Dr. Golesky has been a part of the Milford Public Schools community since 2011, serving as Assistant Principal at Joseph A. Foran High School for the past 10 years.
Dr. Golesky began her career as a professional educator in 2003 as an English teacher for the Fairfield Public School district. After serving the Fairfield community for eight years, Dr. Golesky then joined the Milford Public Schools and has continuously supported the Foran community for the last 10 years. During her time at Foran, Dr. Golesky has focused on the well being of all students academically and social/emotionally. She has worked to foster collaboration and communication across schools to promote high quality instruction for all students through expanded programming, creative scheduling and increased opportunities.
Dr. Golesky will partner with Mr. Sean Smyth, Instructional Supervisor of Student Development and Wellness PK-5. Together, the team will continue to focus on student development, mental health supports, social/emotional learning, and student wellness. Mr. Smyth focuses on student development at the elementary level, while Dr. Golesky will handle the same at the secondary level.
The search and hiring process to fill the Assistant Principal position at Foran has begun. Additional updates will be provided to the community as we move through the process.
