Board of Education Meeting

The Board of Education is meeting on Wednesday, January 22, at 7 p.m. in the Parsons Government Center Board Room for a budget workshop. Board members will continue to ask questions – and, potentially, vote on the budget that evening. An additional workshop session has been reserved for Thursday if the Board should need it.

Community Conversation

We are so grateful for our community members who joined us for the Long Range Facilities Plan Community Conversation! Your insights, thoughts, and ideas are invaluable throughout this process.

Using the cornerstone pieces of information found below, the Board of Education identified a variety of potential approaches that will allow for the best use and modernization of the Milford Public School facilities. Participants of the Community Conversation had the opportunity to identify the pros and cons of each potential approach and learn the varied perspectives of other stakeholders regarding our buildings.

The Board will hold a Long Range Facilities Plan workshop in its meeting on January 27 (7 p.m. in the Parsons Government Center Board Room), where it will discuss all of the thoughts and ideas that came out of the Community Conversation.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration is open for the 2025-26 school year. Registration is conducted exclusively online using the PowerSchool Parent Portal found on the district’s website at https://www.milforded.org/page/registration.

Family Literacy Program

We are excited to invite you to participate in a unique and enriching Family Literacy Program designed to support our elementary families in fostering a love of learning together. This special program is free to Milford Public Schools families and made possible through a generous grant. It will be offered from February 10 to June 11. View the letter with more details here!

The Foran Child Learning Center Open House is on January 28 at 5:30 p.m. at Foran High School.

Armed Forces Fair

Our high school career counselors are hosting the Armed Forces Fair at the Milford Public Library on Thursday, February 20, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Families will be able to speak with the military representatives, gather information, and ask questions. To learn more and to register, use this link.

Hidden in Plain Sight

The Milford Department of Human Services/Youth & Family Services presents "Hidden in Plain Sight," which will help you learn how to identify risky behavior and mental health issues in teens.
