Dear Milford Public Schools Community,

On Tuesday, January 7, PowerSchool notified us of a data security incident that occurred within its customer support portal on December 28, affecting districts across the state, including Milford Public Schools (MPS). 

PowerSchool immediately engaged its cybersecurity response team and law enforcement. The compromised credential was deactivated, and access to the affected portal has been restricted.

The information provided to us by PowerSchool indicates they do not anticipate any further replication or dissemination of the data.

PowerSchool and MPS are committed to providing support and transparency throughout this process. Our digital services team is working with PowerSchool to learn more about this cybersecurity incident.  We are closely monitoring PowerSchool’s response and holding them accountable to their commitments to transparency and security.
