Veteran's Day
MPS thanks all of our veterans who have served our country!
Long Range Facilities Planning
The Milford Board of Education would like to hear the perspectives of members of the school and the broader community on facilities’ needs and gauge community support for investment in our educational infrastructure.
View this video that summarizes information about the Long Range Planning.
An anonymous survey is available for responses until Nov. 15: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MilfordSchoolFacilities
A collaborative music experience
Grades 7-12 string students across the district came together to hear a string quartet from the Greater Bridgeport Symphony perform and to ask the members questions. Then, the students broke off into groups to rehearse together.
We are so grateful for our community partners who provide amazing learning opportunities for our students!
Educators Learn Shared Reading Strategies!
Our educators participated in a Literacy Professional Learning event hosted by Open-Up Resources presenting the district-adopted program, Bookworms. The primary focus of this event was to explore the concept of shared reading and emphasize the importance of providing grade-level access to all students, ensuring equitable learning opportunities and fostering literacy development. The adoption of this program further supports the district's compliance with Connecticut's "Right to Read" Act.
Adult Education Instructors
Do you have a special talent or skill that you would like to share in the community? The Milford Adult Education program is seeking local individuals to teach a course! Whether it's arts, crafts, cooking, or even learning how to ride a unicycle—if it's something you're passionate about, we want to hear from you!
Proposals for new courses are welcome via the district’s online form. Questions also may be addressed to milfordae@milforded.org.
Thanks for Giving
