Grow A Little Spot of Happiness
Pre-K and Kindergarten students and families are invited to join us for a "Little Spots" fun-filled, hands-on learning experience.
The event is on Oct. 1, 5-6:30 p.m. at Orange Ave Elementary School.
Essay Contest
Calling all 5th-8th graders! The Milford Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is hosting an essay contest. Winners of the Chapter have a chance to move on to the State, Division and National contests. View the prompt and learn more here!
Looking for volunteer hours?
The Milford Prevention Council Youth Committee is looking for students in grades 8-12. The Youth Committee will work on various town-wide projects that impact the community, while gaining leadership skills and community service hours! Apply here.
Milford Lab Open House
Students of all ages are invited to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fisheries' Open House for a hands-on learning experience. It is Saturday, Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 212 Rogers Avenue in Milford.
Students can tour a fisheries lab, meet Long Island Sound animals and learn about scientific research. Learn more here!
Affinity Esports
This Connecticut organization has many offerings for young learners who are interested in gaming. After-school classes are beginning next week, which combine education and gaming. There are also game nights and the opportunity to join a competitive team.
