At the Board of Education’s business meeting on Sept. 9, 2024, consultants with Bureau Veritas presented their findings on the current conditions and future structural and programmatic needs of our 14 buildings over the next ten years.

School's Open, Drive Carefully!
The safety patrol team at Orchard Hills was featured in an event with our community partners this week! Organizations across CT spoke about school traffic safety, including our Director for Safety & Security Jeff Neilsen, along with speakers from AAA Northeast, Milford PD and Connecticut Children's Hospital.
This event highlights our wonderful community connections that support our students.
9/11 Memorial
The Milford community gathered at the 9/11 Memorial to honor the lives that were lost due to the tragedy that occurred 23 years ago. We are reminded of the strength that comes from standing together and are deeply grateful for the continued support of our community, which helps us uphold this legacy of unity.

Looking for volunteer hours?
The Milford Prevention Council Youth Committee is looking for students in grades 8-12. The Youth Committee will work on various town-wide projects that impact the community, while gaining leadership skills and community service hours! Apply here.
New Scouts of America Troop
Girls ages 11-17 who are interested in scouting are invited to attend the open house on
Sept. 17, at the Egan Center, to learn about the new Scouts of America Girl Troop in Milford!
Bereavement Support - The Caring Network
Bridges’ The Caring Network is a support program for adults who have suffered a loss through death.The meetings are free, open to the public and no prior registration is required.
The in-person sessions will take place at the Milford Library on the third Monday of each month, at 10:30 a.m. starting Sept. 16. Visit this link to learn more!
