The Board of Education will conduct its regular business meeting on Monday, May 20th. Here's what's on tap for the meeting: Public comment, Chair's Report, Superintendent's Report, including the following -- Artificial Intelligence in Our Classrooms presentation, Recommended adjustments to the 2024-25 Board of Education Budget, Final adoption of the 2024-25 Board of Education Budget, Board policy review (Drop Outs, Homework, Comparability of Services, Indoor Air Quality/HVAC), Capital Improvement Plan, Disbursement Report, Talent Mgmt & Dev Report, Consideration of Minutes (4/8/2024, 4/22/2024), and Board Comment. Law and Foran Esports Clubs to Compete on Tuesday, 2:30

Here's an exciting, new, and cutting edge feature MPS is proud to unveil: Esports! This new competitive environment has been growing by leaps and bounds -- with more than 13,000 schools in the U.S. having esports teams. Even further -- would you believe more than 270 colleges offer SCHOLARSHIPS for Esport enthusiasts? Incredible!

Tuesday, May 21: Blast Off to Summer Reading

It's Finally HERE! In order to prepare our elementary students for their Summer Reading efforts, the Milford Public Schools and the Milford Public Library are teaming up to present ‘Blast Off to Summer Reading!’  The event will be held at the Library, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., and include games, literacy activities, summer reading program info, and other fun times!  FLYER.

Foran Child Learning Center Enrolling for Half Day Preschool Program; For the 2024-25 School Year

Here's a great opportunity if you are looking for half day preschool care. This program is held at Foran High School for children who will be at least 3 or 4 years of age by September 1st. The preschool is open to Milford residents and operates 5 days a week from 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and follows the Milford Public Schools calendar. Saturday, 5/18: Milford Robotics Club Funding Event: Comedy Night at The Plate (adults only, 21+)

The Milford Robotics Club has represented our community at the national level -- and they need our help to continue doing that. Here's a way to enjoy a Saturday night out -- and help the MOJO Robotics Team at the same time! Here's the FLYER.

Sunday, 5/19: Kickoff to Mental Health Month -- Lots of Great Family Activities to Do, Eisenhower Park, 9:00 a.m.

The Fitness Field Day is held with old time Field Day relays, with stations going up the Story Board Walk in Eisenhower Park. The Tug of War competition will also be held at Eisenhower. This fundraising event has been organized to break the stigma surrounding mental health challenges. There will be vendors, food trucks, live music, yoga and more.
