MPS Podcast: Episode 10 Launches Today

Monday, 12/18 – Wednesday, 12/20, Minecraft Content Creation, Held @ the Taylor Building (downtown), (for kids ages 7-13), register through Milford Rec. Dept.
This exciting 3-day workshop will help young creators embark on an adventure like no other! Thanks to the talents of our friends at Affinity Esports, this special fusion class will engage Minecraft fans while learning the essentials of video editing, live streaming, and personal brand creation for platforms like Twitch and YouTube. Participants will harness their creativity in Minecraft, collaborating on exciting projects while simultaneously developing the technical skills needed for content creation. Get ready to build, stream, and create your unique brand in this hands-on journey of gaming and content creation!
The 3-day class will take place on Dec. 18th – 20th, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Taylor Building (downtown). Cost: $120 (for Residents). Please register on the Milford Recreation Dept. website HERE.
Wednesday, 12/27: Free COVID-19 Children’s Vaccination Clinic, @ Milford Health Department (82 New Haven Avenue), Appointments required
The Milford Health Department is pleased to announce a FREE COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic for kids (ages 6 months to 18 years) on Wednesday, December 27th. The clinic will run from 11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Appointments are required for this clinic – click HERE for registration info.
Senator Murphy Calls for Essay Submissions about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Deadline is Jan. 5, 2024
Senator Chris Murphy invites all students to participate in his office’s Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Essay Contest. Students in grades K-12 are welcome to submit essays that reflect on Dr. King’s dream, their own aspirations, and the importance of what Dr. King means to them. Five essay winners will be selected from each education level and will be invited to celebrate their success with Senator Murphy at a breakfast ceremony in January. Submissions must be received by Friday, January 5th at 11:59 p.m. Essays can be submitted online via the Senator’s website or mailed to our Hartford Office.
