Two time-honored traditions will take place this weekend in honor of Veterans Day here in Milford.  On Saturday, (11/11), all are welcome to join the annual Wreath Laying Ceremony, taking place in the Parkette in front of City Hall; start time is 11:00 a.m.  Members of the local veterans organizations take part in presenting wreaths – it’s always a moving ceremony.  We suggest you get there a bit early if you plan on attending.

On Sunday, the traditional Veterans Day Parade will take place; stepping off at 2:00 p.m. Marchers will travel from the Wasson Baseball Field and wind around past City Hall.  The parade route continues along the downtown Milford Green.  We hope you can spend an hour or so, showing your support to our veteran community.

Milford Turkey Trot – Thanksgiving Morning: For the benefit of Milford organizations; Race begins at 9:00 a.m.

IN CLOSING …

We hope you can spend at least part of your weekend attending the city’s Veterans Day Events planned.  Thanks to the bravery and selfless service of veterans across the country, we are able to enjoy the freedoms we have today. Make sure our local heroes see that we all appreciate their service.  Have a great weekend, everyone.
