Local former student Mackenzie Powers was concerned about finding trash on our beaches back when she was 4 years old – and for the past 15 years has organized the Mackenzie’s Annual Beach Cleanup. The time has come, however, for Mackenzie to move on to bigger things (she’s an Environmental Fellow at Stetson University!) and she is now arranging for her final Milford event. Teams will deploy from Walnut Beach and Silver Sands and you are welcome to join in. Pre-registration is available (so Mackenzie can arrange for proper quantities of clean up supplies). Click HERE for more info and we hope to see you on the beach on May 6th!
Whew! We know it was a long UNE today – but it’s that time of year where the events begin to flood in. Thanks so much for your attention – and we wish you a wonderful weekend.
