Order Your Electrify Your Symphony Tickets ASAP
March is ‘Music in our Schools’ Month – and we have a huge surprise in store this year! Our strings students (grades 5-12) will be participating in a professional and intense workshop called Electrify Your Symphony, a learning experience with professional recording artist, Emmy-winning composer, and performer Mark Wood. Mr. Wood created the Electrify Your Symphony program more than 2 decades ago to provide students with an inside look at what is possible when orchestras come together.
Students will experience a full day workshop with Mr. Wood on Thursday, March 9th, followed by a dress rehearsal and performance showcasing their work on FRIDAY, MARCH 10th at 7:00 p.m. We are incredibly grateful to be able to bring this experience to our strings students – and urge you attend this one-of-a-kind performance.
Tickets to the concert ($14 per person) must be pre-ordered (online) and we anticipate that this event will be very well attended by MPS families and the community-at-large. That said, we encourage you to order your tickets ASAP by clicking on this link. Don’t miss out on what is expected to be an incredible evening for everyone. Order your tickets today!
Food Services Keeping an Eye on Changes in Paying for School Meals
You may have heard the news this week of the State’s plan to continue Free Meals in school cafeterias for students through the rest of the year. Our Food Services department is aware of the program coming forth and, once they receive some additional details from the state, they will immediately reach out to all members of our school community. Stay tuned!
Kindergarten Registration Portal (for the 2023-24 School Year) to Open on Feb. 21st
The Kindergarten Registration Portal will open on Tuesday, Feb. 21st (after 9:00 a.m.), with the initial part of the process conducted entirely online. As of that date, parents will be able to access the portal via THIS LINK or via our district website at milforded.org (click on Register/Withdrawal tab at the top). Feel free to share this info with your neighbors or other family members who might have children entering MPS for the first time. Thanks for your help.
