Parent Weekly 2/10/23

2/10/23

Dear West Shore Families-

It has been an extremely busy week here at West Shore Middle School!  I am  appreciative to be surrounded by such understanding and supportive families.  As you know, our plumbing situation has been resolved and we were able to open back up safely the very next day. We did have a medical emergency with a maintenance worker and I heard some rumors that he fell off the roof. I want to assure you that this did not happen. He had a medical issue totally unrelated and is doing fine now.

Moving forward, I would like to introduce a new staff member.  Kirsten Campanella has joined our school counselor department.  We are lucky to have her!  She is replacing Mrs. McCormack, who left to spend more time with her family. Mrs. Campanella comes to us from the Cheshire School System and has an advanced degree in school counseling.  She is excited to be here at West Shore and eager to meet you all.

As a reminder, tonight is the school dance.  The students are so excited!  Our student council has worked extremely hard to organize this event. The PTA will be holding a bake sale so snacks will be available.  Please remember that this event starts at 7:00 pm and ends promptly at 9:00pm.  Make sure all students have a ride home at the end of this exciting event.  It is vital that all rides are here on time.

 Information:

  • Eighth grade families please remember that you have the opportunity to submit a booster advertisement in the 2023 WSMS yearbook for your graduating 8th grade student!  Click here for the Google form.
