Dear West Shore Families-
Happy New Year West Shore!! I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful holiday break. I had a great time with both of my kids home for the holiday. At West Shore the students were a little tired at the start of the week but seemed back to their normal energetic selves by the end of the week. Our Ski Club had its first trip on Thursday and had a great time skiing or snowboarding at Mt. Southington. Let’s hope the weather starts acting like winter so they can continue to enjoy these outings.
Our student council has been hard at work planning our first school dance in three years! It looks like we will be having it in mid February so more to come.
The second marking period ends on January 20th so please check your child’s grades in Powerschool and make sure they do not have any outstanding assignments. If it looks like they are far behind in a class please email the teacher so you can make a plan to get them caught up.
Our 8th grade committee is sponsoring a pizza night fundraiser. Please see the details in the embedded flier.
Just a reminder that the last day for free meals for all students in the Milford Public Schools is today, Friday, January 6, 2023. Therefore, beginning on Monday, January 9th, the MPS Food Services department will return to the purchase of meals at all levels. Click here for more information regarding the school lunch program and how to add money to your child’s account.
Have a great weekend!
