Parent Weekly 11/11/22

11-11-22

Dear West Shore Families-

Today is Veterans Day. I would like to thank all of our family members who serve or have served our country. We are so grateful for your service. My daughter is an active member of the United States Coast Guard and I couldn’t be prouder. Our students spent time learning about the significance of this holiday today and made cards for our local veterans.

We began the second quarter of the school year on Monday and the students began their new classes this week . You will be able to view your child’s report card on November 18th.

Wednesday, November 16th will be an early dismissal day for teacher professional development. School will be dismissed at 12:45.

The students have been nominating their candidates for student council and the winners will be announced next week. These students will be working with Mrs. Grillo and Ms. Bua to start making plans for upcoming social events and contribute ideas on how we can make our school better.

You may have noticed the awesome Westshore Wildcat graphic at the top of the newsletter. It was created by 8th grader Natalia Alvarado. We have so many talented students here at WS!
