Parent Weekly 11/4/22

11-4-22

Dear West Shore Families-

Well, we survived Halloween! Lot’s of sleepy kids on Tuesday, but that’s nothing that a little candy can’t cure!

We had an amazing high school fair on Wednesday. Our 8th grade students had the pleasure of meeting with a number of local high schools to learn about the different programs they have to offer. We had a great turnout of parents who were able to come by and join their children.

As you know today is the last day of the first quarter of the school year. You will be able to view your child’s report card on November 18th. Starting on Monday the students will be reporting to thor second quarter classes. Many classes will remain the same but the unified arts that meet for one quarter will change.

Tuesday is Election Day so we will not have school. Our teachers will be engaging in professional learning sessions at the high school. Along the same lines as Election Day our school will be starting a Student Council. Any children interested in running should sign up. They will be getting information from their homeroom teacher next week.

The weather is acting like spring instead of fall so get out there and enjoy it one last time! Please remember to drop your donations off to our SAVERS fun drive tomorrow. There is more information below.

Upcoming Events:

  • SAVERS fun drive 11/5, drop off 9-12 Click here for more information.

  • Thangs for Giving Food Drive: through 11/11, all students are invited to donate a canned or shelf-stable food, boxes are placed around the school

Have a great weekend!
