Parent Weekly 10/21/22

10-21-22

Dear West Shore Families-

It was wonderful seeing you all at Parent Conferences this week. Remember our staff is always available to speak with you if you have any questions or concerns. Just email your child’s teacher and they will reach out to you. This week our 8th graders listened to a presentation by Judy Keane, who lost her husband on 9/11. She shared her story and how her husband's foundation is doing wonderful work in his honor. Next week we have an early dismissal on Wednesday for teacher professional learning. School will be dismissed at 12:45.

Next week West Shore will be participating in Red Ribbon Week for drug awareness.

We will have the following spirit days:

Monday- Wear Red

Tuesday- 80s Day

Wednesday- Tie Dye Day

Thursday- Teachers dress like students & students dress like teachers

Friday- Mullet day (formal on top, pajamas on the bottom) ((picture day!))

You still have time to donate to Breast Cancer research. Our school raised over $800 last week. Click here if you would like to donate to find a cure!

Looks like we have a great weekend ahead, weatherwise. I hope you all take the opportunity to get outside for a hike or maybe a fall fair.

Upcoming Events:

  • Picture Day - October 28 (retakes are 12/7)

  • SAVERS fun drive 11/5, drop off 9-12 Click here for more information.
