Dear West Shore Families-
WSMS Open House is September 21 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Like last year, our Open House will be held virtually. Teachers will create an introductory/welcome recorded presentation which will be posted on the teacher's Google Classroom site. Mrs. Keramis and Mr. Hayes, along with the support staff, will create welcome videos for all HMS families to view this night. An email with links to the videos will be emailed after 3:00 PM on Tuesday, September 21st.
Students are asked to guide their families through the evening's program as they will need to access their Google Classrooms for families to view teacher videos and participate in the Q & A sessions for each block. Teacher video presentations will be ready for viewing after 3:00 PM on Tuesday, September 21. Students and families will follow A and B day schedules for the evening. The suggested times for viewing the pre-recorded messages can be viewed by clicking Open House Schedule. Please keep in mind that the Google Q & A times will be live and if you would like to participate you will need to follow the specific times on the schedule. We hope you all find the event helpful and informative.
COVID-19 information: When the school receives notification of a possible positive COVID-19 case there may be times particularly when we are notified after school hours or on weekends, that families will be sent an email indicating that their child is to stay home the next school day and that a school nurse will contact the family to discuss the matter and provide guidance on what happens next.
PTA Corner:
Please take a minute and join the PTA. The form is attached and it's super easy this year. There is a QR code that you scan with your camera and the link will bring to you an easy online payment. Please consider buying some Mums from our PTA.
PTA is looking for volunteers to head up the 8th grade committee. A flyer will be out soon!
