Parent Weekly 2/7/25

2/7/25

Dear West Shore Families,

We wrapped up another great week and even enjoyed our first snow day of the school year! With more snow in the forecast, be sure to stay warm and safe. Take this time to relax and enjoy special moments with family and friends.

Guest Speaker – Student Development Classes
This week, our Student Development Classes had the pleasure of welcoming guest speaker Sam Gonski, a Process Engineer from Innovative Designs Engineering Associates. He shared his experiences and highlighted the many different pathways students can explore to get involved in the Chemical Engineering field. It was an inspiring opportunity for our students to learn more about STEM careers!

“Name the Drone” Contest – Milford Police Department & Tech Ed
Exciting news!
The Milford Police Department recently acquired a new drone and enlisted the creativity of our Tech Ed students to help name it. Our students eagerly participated in the “Name the Drone Contest,” submitting their best ideas. All entries were sent to the police department for review.
Winners will have the incredible opportunity to join a training session with the drone and will receive T-shirts to celebrate their success. Special thanks to Mr. Crooks and Officer Bodnar for organizing our participation!

Looking Ahead
Next week is a short one with only four school days, followed by a nice long weekend for the Presidents Day holiday.

Thank you for your continued support. Have a wonderful weekend!

Warmly,
Carrie Keramis
Principal, West Shore Middle School
