Dear WSMS Families,
Happy Friday! Our winter break is only two weeks away, and incredible things are still happening here at West Shore. Here’s a review of all the events we’ve experienced together this week:
Bridgeport Aquaculture Presentation, December 3rd
Our Counseling Staff invited a representative from the Bridgeport Aquaculture to present at our school during the 8th grade lunch wave in the library on Tuesday, December 3rd from 11:00am-12:00pm. Bridgeport Aquaculture could not make our fair, and many students wanted to learn more about this school.
Early Release Day Next Week
Next Wednesday, December 11th for teacher professional learning. School will dismiss at 12:45
Respect Assembly -
Mr. Hayes and I met with seventh and eighth grade students this week to review the expectations we have here at West Shore Middle School. We reviewed the handbook and had a candid conversation about the importance of respect in our school community.
Chorus and Band Performances
The WSMS Chorus, Orchestra, and Band held their winter concerts this week. The performances were fantastic and really put me in the mood for the holiday season. Congratulations to our student musicians and Ms. April Scepanski and Ms. Robin for a job well done!
New SRO Officer Bodnar
Officer Clark is leaving WSMS for a new opportunity in Weston. Officer Paige Bodnar will be taking over. Officer Bodnar is a 9 year veteran of the MPD and has spent some time here at WSMS before. We are super excited to have her be a part of the WSMS team!
WSMS 2025 Pet Calendar
Mrs. Brown is taking donations and photos for this year’s pet calendar supporting the Milford Animal Shelter! Click here for more information.
WSMS PTA Updates:
Thank you to everyone who supported our winter plants fundraiser.
The 8th grade committee will be at the Lamplight Stroll tonight, we look forward to seeing you there.
