We had a fantastic Open House on Tuesday! It was wonderful to see so many of our families here. I hope the event was informative and helpful for everyone. If you have any further questions or need additional information, please feel free to reach out to your child’s teachers.
Upcoming Events:
Parent/Teacher Conferences – October 15th & 16th:
Mark your calendars! Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on October 15th and 16th. This is a great opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and any concerns with their teachers. More details on how to sign up for conferences will be sent soon.
Scholastic Book Fair – Week of October 14th:
We are excited to announce that WSMS will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair during the week of October 14th! This is a wonderful opportunity to encourage your child’s love of reading. Please check out the attached digital flier for more information on how to set up an "ewallet" for easy, cashless shopping. No need to send cash to school – just load up the ewallet, and your child can shop with ease.
West Shore Middle School Handbook:
As I mentioned during Open House, we have put together a West Shore Middle School Handbook. This resource contains important information about our school policies and procedures, as well as course descriptions for all classes, including electives. You can access the handbook via this link, and we will also be adding it to our website for easy access.
After School Activities:
Students will be told next week what after school activities they will be joining. They are to inform you of what club they are attending on what day. You should also be receiving a letter from the club’s advisor. Activities start the week of October 14.

Don’t forget! Picture day is next Wednesday. Make sure your child is ready to smile!
- No School – Thursday, October 3rd:
There will be no school on Thursday in observance of Rosh Hashanah. We hope everyone enjoys the day off!

West Shore PTA Updates:
It was great seeing so many families at the Picnic last week, we know it is a busy time of year filled with different family commitments - thank you for taking the time to join us.
Spirit Wear Update: Just a reminder that spirit wear orders were due on 9/15. We placed the order with our spirit wear company on 9/16. It will take about three weeks for delivery. We appreciate your patience.
Membership: We are nearing the end of September and have reached 77% of our membership goal. So close….thank you to everyone who has joined already. If you haven’t you can join here.
