Dear West Shore Families,
We hope you all enjoyed the Labor Day weekend and had some quality time with family and friends! Our students returned with great enthusiasm, ready to dive back into their classes. We are hitting the ground running this week! Science classes have already started with some exciting labs, and students are actively checking out books from the library. It's wonderful to see such eagerness to learn!
Next week will be our first full week of school, and we have a lot in store.
Please join us for our first PTA meeting of the year on September 11th at 6:30 PM in the Media Center. This is a great opportunity to get involved, meet other families, and learn more about how you can support our school community.
WAVE After School Program Applications Now Open! We are now accepting applications for our after-school WAVE program. This program provides West Shore students with a supportive environment after school, where they can receive homework help and participate in two enriching classes each day. Past class options have included Art, Basketball, Newspaper Writing, Board Game Fanatics, Coding, and much more!
Please note that space is limited, and we encourage interested families to apply as soon as possible. For more information and to access the application, please see the attached flyer.
Other After School Activities Starting Soon: Our other after-school activities will begin on October 14th. These activities will meet once a week, and a late bus will be provided for transportation. Information about the available options and how to sign up will be shared with students next week. We encourage students to participate and explore new interests!
