Dear West Shore Families,
Welcome back to a new school year! We are thrilled to see all our students, both new and returning, filling the halls with energy and excitement. The first week has been a great success, and we’re looking forward to an exciting year ahead of us filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences.
Thank you for your patience during arrival and dismissal times. We’re happy to report that everything went smoothly, and we appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a safe and orderly process for everyone.

We’re excited to invite you to our Open House on September 24th. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to "walk a day in your child's shoes" here at West Shore Middle School. You’ll get to meet the teachers, see the classrooms, and learn more about what your child will be experiencing throughout the year. We look forward to seeing you there!
We are happy to celebrate our WSMS softball players who made it all the way to the championship round of the New England Region Tournament. Way to go Teagan Liphardt, Kendall Upchurch, Sophia Capalbo, and Marina Cosmos!
Additionally, the following boys went to Branson, MO to play in the 12 year old Cal Ripken World Series! Congrats CJ Smithhouser, Gavin Leclaire, and Mason Fino!
These kids are a big part of why West is Best!! Enjoy the holiday weekend !

West Shore PTA Updates:
Thank you to all of the families who helped us welcome staff back by ordering off of the Amazon wish list or dropping snacks off. We will keep you posted about more opportunities throughout the year to show the staff how much we appreciate them. It was nice to see so many families at the picnic earlier this week, we look forward to seeing more families at future events.
PTA membership - Please consider becoming a member of the WSMS PTA. Memberships can be purchased at https://tinyurl.com/bdfbdtvw. If you have already paid for your membership, thank you. We appreciate your support.
Spirit Wear: It is available for purchase, this will be the only opportunity to order items this year. Orders are due Sunday, September 15th. Orders will be delivered to students at school in Mid-October. Orders can be placed here on our store website.
Mums Fundraiser: Orders are due Sunday, September 15th. Order pickup will be on Friday, September 20th from 4:30 - 6:30 at WSMS. Orders can be placed here on our store website.
PTA Meeting: The first PTA meeting of the year is on September 11th at 6:30 in the Media Center, followed at 7:30ish with an 8th grade committee meeting. We look forward to seeing everyone there.

A Note from SRO Clark:
Welcome back to school WSMS Families,
Hope you all had a fun and relaxing summer. Just wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself to the new families of our 6th graders coming in! My name is Ofc. Clark and I work collaboratively with the Milford Police Department and the Milford Board of Education, as the School Resource Officer here at West Shore. I am starting my 4th year here at the school and truly enjoy every moment I get to spend with your children.
