Dear West Shore Middle School Families,
I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the arrival of spring! As we gear up for another exciting week ahead, I wanted to share some important updates and reminders with you.
State SBA Testing:
Next week marks the beginning of our state SBA testing. It's a crucial time for our students to showcase their learning and abilities. I cannot stress enough the importance of doing our best on these assessments. Encourage your child to approach the tests with confidence and a positive attitude. Together, let's support them in striving for success. Please ensure that your child arrives at school on time each day and brings their fully charged Chromebook for testing.
To kick off the testing week in a fun and engaging manner, we will be hosting a special event: a school vs. staff game of "Are You Smarter Than a Middle Schooler?" It promises to be an entertaining way to build excitement around the testing period while showcasing our school spirit.
After School Activities:
A friendly reminder that the last day for after school activities will be May 9th. Please take note of this date and plan accordingly. We appreciate the participation and dedication of all our students in these extracurricular programs.
Drama Club Rehearsals:
Our Drama Club has been hard at work preparing for their upcoming performances of "Annie" on May 30th and 31st. To ensure they are fully prepared, rehearsals will be extended until then. However, there will be no late buses. We appreciate your support and encouragement for our talented performers as they bring this classic production to life on stage.
PTA Meeting: I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our PTA President, Bridget Krauss, and the entire executive board for their outstanding leadership throughout this school year. Our last PTA meeting of the year was held this week, and I am truly grateful for all the wonderful events and initiatives they have sponsored. Their dedication has enriched our school community, and I have no doubt that next year will be just as amazing!

Pruebas estatales de la SBA:
La próxima semana marca el comienzo de nuestras pruebas estatales de la SBA. Es un momento crucial para que nuestros estudiantes muestren su aprendizaje y sus habilidades. No puedo enfatizar lo suficiente la importancia de hacer nuestro mejor esfuerzo en estas evaluaciones. Anime a su hijo a abordar las pruebas con confianza y una actitud positiva. Juntos, apoyémoslos en su lucha por el éxito. Asegúrese de que su hijo llegue a la escuela a tiempo todos los días y traiga su Chromebook completamente cargado para el examen.

Ensayos del club de teatro:
Nuestro Club de Drama ha estado trabajando arduamente preparándose para las próximas presentaciones de "Annie" los días 30 y 31 de mayo. Para garantizar que estén completamente preparados, los ensayos se extenderán hasta entonces. Sin embargo, no habrá autobuses retrasados.
