Dear West Shore Middle School Families,
We had a great time on Tuesday night at the Staff vs. Student Basketball game. I must say it was the closest game we have had to date! This is my favorite event of the school year with so many staff and families in attendance. Then the very next day our Coach Sidella, Coach Maxwell, and several students gathered to pack up the food collected during the basketball event. We welcomed Sue Brown, a representative from the Purple Pantry Program, to our school to collect the donation. She was extremely appreciative of our efforts and was thankful for our on-going relationship with the “Purple Pantry” Program.
Today we ended the week with some Wingman time. Student leaders traveled to classrooms to run some fun, interactive activities. Students seemed to enjoy these games, and you could hear the laughter coming from the classrooms in the hallway. It was a great way to start the day!
When we get back from the holiday we will be in the final stretch for the school year. The spring holds so many fun and exciting events for our students. Concerts, field trips, dinner dance, and graduation! Time sure does fly.
In today’s digital world it is very important that we keep up with the current technology and how it affects our students’ safety. Please join us for a free pizza dinner followed by a very informative presentation about Internet Safety on April 18 at 6pm. The students will learn about how to use the internet safely and we as parents will learn about what to be aware of. Estimadas familias de la escuela secundaria West Shore:
Nos lo pasamos muy bien el martes por la noche en el partido de baloncesto entre el personal y los estudiantes. ¡Debo decir que fue el partido más reñido que hemos tenido hasta la fecha! Este es mi evento favorito del año escolar con la asistencia de tanto personal y familias. Luego, al día siguiente, nuestro entrenador Sidella, el entrenador Maxwell y varios estudiantes se reunieron para empacar la comida recolectada durante el evento de baloncesto. Le dimos la bienvenida a Sue Brown, una representante del Programa Purple Pantry, a nuestra escuela para recolectar la donación. Ella apreció mucho nuestros esfuerzos y agradeció nuestra relación continua con el programa “Purple Pantry”.
Hoy terminamos la semana con un rato de Wingman. Los líderes estudiantiles viajaron a las aulas para realizar algunas actividades divertidas e interactivas. Los estudiantes parecían disfrutar estos juegos y se podían escuchar las risas provenientes de las aulas en el pasillo. ¡Fue una excelente manera de comenzar el día!
Cuando volvamos de las vacaciones estaremos en la recta final del curso escolar. La primavera trae muchos eventos divertidos y emocionantes para nuestros estudiantes. ¡Conciertos, excursiones, cena con baile y graduación! Seguro que el tiempo vuela.
En el mundo digital actual es muy importante que nos mantengamos al día con la tecnología actual y cómo afecta la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes. Únase a nosotros para una cena de pizza gratis seguida de una presentación muy informativa sobre seguridad en Internet el 18 de abril a las 6 p.m. Los estudiantes aprenderán cómo usar Internet de manera segura y nosotros, como padres, aprenderemos qué debemos tener en cuenta.
