Dear West Shore Families,
We would like to wish you all a wonderful holiday season.The students were full of spirit this week. We wrapped it up this afternoon with our Jingle Mingle and Sing-Along.
Early this week, Mrs. Vaccino wrapped up her sessions on the “Hour of Code”. Students worked to enhance their technological skills to move the robots in our media center. Our students really have tremendous skills. One student even took on the challenge of figuring out a mini-processor and programmed a Micro:Bit Car. Some other students are off coding on their own! Very impressive work!
We also were treated to an amazing Holiday Concert. Our friends at Jonathan Law came to visit us on Tuesday. I must say the high school chorus was amazing! It was so heartwarming to see our past students all grown up and bringing joy into the building. If you didn’t get a chance to watch the West Shore Insider make sure you take three minutes to learn more about the high quality instruction in tech ed at WSMS!

Estimadas familias de West Shore:
Nos gustaría desearles a todos unas maravillosas vacaciones. Los estudiantes estuvieron llenos de espíritu esta semana. Lo terminamos esta tarde con nuestro Jingle Mingle y Sing-Along.
A principios de esta semana, la Sra. Vaccino concluyó sus sesiones sobre la “Hora del Código”. Los estudiantes trabajaron para mejorar sus habilidades tecnológicas para mover los robots en nuestro centro multimedia. Nuestros estudiantes realmente tienen habilidades tremendas. Un estudiante incluso aceptó el desafío de descubrir un miniprocesador y programó un Micro:Bit Car. ¡Algunos otros estudiantes están codificando solos! ¡Un trabajo muy impresionante!
También nos invitaron a un increíble concierto navideño. Nuestros amigos de Jonathan Law vinieron a visitarnos el martes. ¡Debo decir que el coro de la escuela secundaria fue increíble! Fue muy reconfortante ver a nuestros antiguos alumnos crecer y traer alegría al edificio. Si no tuvo la oportunidad de ver West Shore Insider, asegúrese de tomarse tres minutos para aprender más sobre la instrucción de alta calidad en educación tecnológica en WSMS.
