Dear West Shore Families-
Happy Friday! Halloween went well here at West Shore Middle School. It was great to see the holiday spirit as students dressed in their black and orange attire. They all seemed happy with the candy they collected!
On Wednesday our health students organized a health fair in the media center. Students gave informative presentations on bullying, stress management, substance abuse, and healthy eating habits. They really did a wonderful job presenting this information to their peers.
On Thursday morning, the eighth graders in Student Development Class held a Career Fair in the cafeteria. Each student took the time to investigate a possible career choice for themselves. Then their knowledge of the career was displayed on a tri-fold white board. Each informative board was used in a presentation that the eighth grade students gave to the seventh grade students. These presentations were full of specific information and colorful diagrams. It was interesting to see all of the career paths our students chose to research. They have big dreams, and it is a privilege to work with all of you to help make them come true.
Don’t forget to put the clocks back on Sunday and remember no school on Tuesday for Election Day. Have a wonderful weekend,

Spirit Wear: WSMS merchandise can be purchased until November 13th at https://westshoremiddle.member... Orders will be delivered in early to mid December, if you would like to give something as a gift, please email pta.westshorems@gmail.com and we can arrange private delivery instead of delivery to your child at school.
Staff Appreciation: November is a great time to take a moment and reflect on all of the things we are thankful for. WSMS PTA is extremely thankful for the amazing WSMS staff. Please consider helping us thank them for all they do for our kids and our families by helping to stock the staff room. Donations can be dropped off with the greeter during school hours or you can order right from our amazon wish list and items will be delivered right to PTA. Donations are not limited to the items on the amazon list, any items are welcome. We ask that donations are made by Monday, 11/20.
Turkey Trot: Join our school community on Thanksgiving morning for the Milford Turkey Trot. 100% of the proceeds of this VERY fun run benefit Milford charities, including our PTA! Estimadas familias de West Shore:
¡Feliz viernes! Halloween estuvo bien aquí en la escuela secundaria West Shore. Fue genial ver el espíritu navideño mientras los estudiantes se vestían con su atuendo negro y naranja. ¡Todos parecían felices con los dulces que recogieron!
El miércoles nuestros estudiantes de salud organizaron una feria de salud en el centro de prensa. Los estudiantes dieron presentaciones informativas sobre el acoso, el manejo del estrés, el abuso de sustancias y los hábitos alimentarios saludables. Realmente hicieron un trabajo maravilloso al presentar esta información a sus compañeros.
El jueves por la mañana, los alumnos de octavo grado de la Clase de Desarrollo Estudiantil celebraron una feria profesional en la cafetería. Cada estudiante se tomó el tiempo para investigar una posible elección de carrera para ellos mismos. Luego, sus conocimientos sobre la carrera se mostraron en una pizarra blanca triple. Cada tablero informativo fue utilizado en una presentación que los alumnos de octavo grado realizaron a los alumnos de séptimo grado. Estas presentaciones estuvieron llenas de información específica y diagramas coloridos. Fue interesante ver todas las carreras profesionales que nuestros estudiantes eligieron para investigar. Tienen grandes sueños y es un privilegio trabajar con todos ustedes para ayudarlos a hacerlos realidad.
No olvide retrasar los relojes el domingo y recuerde que no habrá clases el martes por el día de las elecciones. Tener un fin de semana maravilloso,
