Important Information 

  • Kids Heart Challenge- Mr. Cala will be running the Kids Heart Challenge through the American Heart Association.   You can find out more information here: OHS Website

  • Throughout the year, there are many celebrations focused on acknowledging the history and contributions of different groups.  Black History Month begins on February 1. Milford Public Schools continues our commitment to celebrating diversity and the unique gifts and experiences of our Milford Public Schools students, families and staff that make our community so special. Food Services

Paying for Meals:  Families are encouraged to complete and submit the Free/Reduced Price Applications (see links below) to be considered for continued free or reduced price meals for the balance of the school year.  Please visit the Milford Food Service page for more information.  Please note that if you qualify for SNAP benefits or are currently enrolled in other state assistance programs, you may be automatically eligible for free or reduced meals.

Important Dates

  • Monday, Feb. 6th- 100th day of school!!! 2022-23 OHS Spirit Fridays

  • Tuesday, Feb. 14th- Show some love for OHS and wear Red/Pink

  • Friday, Feb. 17th & Monday, Feb. 20th- No School, Winter Break

  • Wednesday, Feb. 22nd- Early release at 1:25pm for all students 

  • The week of Feb. 27th is Read Across America Week.  Stay tuned for the details of this fun filled week

  • Spring Picture Day-  Friday, March 17th- Mark your calendars!!

PTA Information

  • PTA News- Rescheduled Screen Free Week Program:  Tuesday, February 7th from 6-7 pm in the OHS Media Center, the Connecticut Humane Society  presents the Dog Safety Pawtrol.  Learn how to read dog body language and how to safely approach, greet, and interact with dogs.  No live dogs will be present, just your friends, plush "practice dogs'' and lots of fun and info!   No registration is needed and all kids must come with an adult.

  • Save the date-  Friday, Feb. 24th for the PTA Special Person Dance.  Link for dance tickets $5 per family!  Raffles and snacks will be available for purchase (cash only)!  https://orchardhills.memberhub.com/store/items/822298

  • We are looking for raffle donations for the Special Person Dance (2/24). Anyone who is interested, please make your selections below. All raffle baskets can be delivered to either Katie Dennett (dennett.katie@gmail.com) or Maria McKiernan's (riss0828@yahoo.com) houses. Please email them to schedule a drop off date/time. All baskets must be wrapped in clear cellophane wrap and delivered no later than Wednesday, February 22nd.  *We are also accepting and strongly encouraging gift cards to local restaurants/stores to be raffled off as well!
