Dear OHS Families,
This past week was the Connecticut Music Educators Association All State In Service Conference. We had 12 OHS students have their compositions selected for the Songwriting and Composition Gallery. They were the ONLY elementary school in Connecticut in the Composition Gallery!!! Way to go Ms. Fraser and the OHS musicians, we are so proud! Click HERE to access their compositions and pictures!
April is Autism Awareness Month and we have been engaging in storywalks, THIS ABILITY Hall of Fame activities and more! Here are some ways you can engage at home:

Kindergarten Kickoff
For our incoming Kindergarten families who are fully registered or currently in a MPS preschool program, be on the lookout for an email on our Kickoff to Kindergarten school visits in May. Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up on May 6-10 and this year's theme is the "Kentucky Derby". We are on the lookout for donations of gift cards for our amazing OHS staff. These gift cards will be used as prizes during our fun-filled week to show our gratitude. Please text me at 203-415-3522 and we can coordinate the gift card drop off. This week's CCC News contains information and links for a mix of resources & fun activities. Among the community services you will find links for "Foodshare Mobile Pantry dates and FAVOR's virtual "How to be your child's best advocate". For Family fun you'll find information about The Milford's Library "SPARKLER Safari!" and The CT Library Passport program. There is an article by CAMPSEARCH.COM that gives you help with how to choose a summer camp for your child. Remember that the CCC Website is updated with links to community resources. To locate the CCC’s web page go to Milford’s main page and click on the Menu tab & scroll down under district Information to find the Community Connections Centers!
