Kids Heart Challenge Logo

Thank you OHS Families for participating in Kids Heart Challenge and for supporting the American Heart Association! You are doing AWESOME! We have raised $13,888 in donations, 190 students have signed up to BE KIND and MOVE MORE, 47 families have learned Hands Only CPR, and 30 students have completed Finn’s Mission! We are so proud of our community!

To celebrate our lifesaving accomplishments, we will SLIME MR. C on March 10th! Students in the top classroom and students who complete Finn’s Mission will receive a cup of Dragon Drool (SLIME) to pour on Mr. C!

It’s not too late to Complete Finn’s Mission and help your classroom be #1!

Parent Teacher Conferences

Greetings, MPS Families!

We are pleased to announce our Spring 2023 Elementary Conference Schedule: 

  • Wednesday, March 29th 5:30-8:00 p.m.

  • Thursday, March 30th1:45-3:45 p.m.

  • Friday, March 31st 1:45-3:45 p.m.

*Please note that we will have a modified early dismissal time on the conference days to accommodate the conference schedule.  Therefore, students will be dismissed on March 29th, March 30th, and March 31st at 1:15pm. 

Parents/guardians will once again have the opportunity to select a conference time through My Conference Time.   All conferences will be in person unless a  parent/guardian requests a Google Meet link directly from the teacher.  Spring conference sign up  information will be  live on our school website from  February 27 at 9:00 a.m. through March 27 at 12:00 p.m.  If you prefer a  virtual session, please contact the teacher to request a Google Meet link to conduct your conference virtually after you have confirmed your conference time through My Conference Time Online Scheduler.   We are looking forward to meeting with you to discuss your child’s learning! 

Quick tip: Look for emails from “noreply@myconferencetime.com” when searching email for conference confirmation communications.

Important Information 

  • If your student is absent from school due to an illness, please send in a doctor's note so we can code it as an excused absence. Thank you! 

  • Entering Attendance into PowerSchool:  When entering your child’s attendance into the attendance portal in PowerSchool, please be sure to open PowerSchool using a browser and not the phone app.  The attendance will not show up in the portal otherwise.  Click HERE for more information and instructions.

  • Mark Wood from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra to Perform with Milford Students! Milford Public Schools is excited to host our first ever Electrify Your Strings Concert featuring Mark Wood from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.  This two day event for students will culminate in a concert at Parsons Auditorium on Friday, March 10 at 7:00.  Almost 300 string students in grades 5-12 will perform alongside Mark Wood and every attendee will have the opportunity to attend the meet and greet with Mark immediately following the concert.  Tickets can be purchased here for $14.  Tickets at the door will be $20.  Doors will open at 6:30PM and the event will start promptly at 7:00.  We hope to see you there!

Kindergarten Registration

Greetings, MPS Families!

We are pleased to announce that Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-2024  school year will take place during February and March. If you have a child who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall, registration information will be posted to the district website www.milforded.org on February 21, 2023.  You must register your child for Kindergarten at the school determined by your street address, unless placed by Pupil Personnel Services.  School/Street Assignments are available on the district website under “District Information.”  Students must be at least age five (5) on or before December 31, 2023, in order to register for Kindergarten.  Current MPS preschool or Ready To Learn students do not need to complete an online registration packet.  If you need assistance with the registration portal,  please contact the main office for your district assigned school. School contact information can be found on the district website under “ Schools.”  We are excited for your children to come to our schools!  Fully registered families, please be on the lookout for more information from your school’s Principal about an in person kindergarten event in the spring.  In the meantime, click here for a sneak peek of what to expect in Kindergarten!  We look forward to welcoming the Class of 2036!
