Good Afternoon Meadowside Families,
If you have a kindergartner, we know you heard all about the new furniture this week! They absolutely love their newly designed classrooms -- from reading corners with couches to floor tables with flexible seating -- it is the perfect environment for our youngest learners! Here is a sneak peek at the transformation of our classrooms! Thank you to the Board of Education for supporting flexible furniture in all our district Kindergarten and Preschool classrooms!
While our fourth graders didn’t get a new classroom -- they did get to visit a mobile classroom this week! Check out our Stem Highlight below.
STEM Highlight: Thank you to Energize CT Mobile Exhibit for visiting us this week. Fourth graders were able to extend their learning about energy with hands-on exploration.
Valentine's Day -- We are so excited that Valentine's Day is coming soon -- we are after all the school with HEART so it is one of our favorite days of the year! Please remember that while students may pass out valentine's day cards -- look for more information from your child's classroom teacher regarding their specific classroom plans -- students may not pass out or share any food or candy due to allergy concerns.

Each week information about Milford's providers & their programs are listed . You will also find ideas for family friendly activities & places to visit. News from the PTA:
- Sweetheart Dance is returning. Every Meadowside Student can bring an adult “sweetheart” on February 10th from 6-8pm. The cost is $5 per student/adult pair, must pre register on memberhub. Help us make this evening memorable. We are looking for volunteers and snack donations. Please sign up here. Dillon’s Flowers is offering a special for all Meadowside sweethearts.
- Loose Change Drive began this week. The class that donated the most money will win a prize. Donations can be given to classroom teachers. All donation types and amounts are appreciated.
- PTA Meeting: February 7th at 6pm in the Media Center.
