Good afternoon Meadowside Families
Thank you for all the kind donations for our Annual Thanks-for-Giving Food drive - we are so appreciated by the outpouring of support for Milford Families. The donations were picked up this afternoon and transported to Wasson Field where the scouts alongside other community members will be packaging up Thanksgiving meals for families throughout Milford.
Speaking of Kindness, check out a picture of the pledge that our students are signing in honor of World Kindness day this weekend. At Meadowside, showing HEART is what we do - so signing the pledge was just another way in which we can commit to showing HEART throughout our day!
On Thursday we held our Veteran’s Day Assembly -- we were so proud of our student emcees, Kiley and Udith, our student leaders and all our students who participated. And most importantly, we were so honored to have a number of veterans join us. Our students shared with them their appreciation of all they have done for our country through a sharing of songs, poetry and information about Veteran’s Day.
Thank you to the PTA for hosting Math Night. It was so nice to see our families enjoying all the math games. And thank you to our former students and staff who helped us play and learn together!
Next week Meadowside School will be conducting its second school wide Lock Down drill. This will only be a drill and will be conducted in accordance with the School Incident Management Protocols established by the district, and in collaboration with our local first responders. Please discuss the importance of our emergency drills with your children. We thank you for your cooperation and partnership with keeping our schools safe.
STEM Highlight:
As part of their Science unit on Ecosystem and Traits, third graders went to the Audubon for field work last week. They visited the Marsh, Woodlands, and Beach. We collected samples and took pictures to use back in school to continue our learning.

Spirit Wear - This is the only opportunity to order spirit wear this school year. Orders must be placed before November 19th. Orders will be sent home with students in mid-December, if these items are meant to be a surprise please email us at ptameadowside@gmail.com and we can set up a different delivery method.
