Good afternoon Meadowside Families

We are thrilled to share that we had our first school wide HEART assembly this afternoon!  Thank you to Miss Morin and our Student Leaders for running the program - and congratulations to all our HEART Award Participants.

We are so excited for our Costume Parade on Monday Morning!   Weather permitting, please join us along our parade route!  We will begin parading at 9:15.

  • The parade will start outside the school with students parading out of the left side door - the parade route will then wrap across the back of the school and then around the side where students will re-enter the building through the door closest to the drop off circle.
  • All guests must stay outside for the duration of the parade and will not be allowed in the school for the safety and security of the children.
  • We ask that families line up on the back or side field  to get the best view of  children marching by. Parking will be limited so arrive early - keeping in mind that you might have to park further away and walk.  And, please remember not to park in any bus or fire lanes.
  • Students will come to school in their costumes!  Please have students wear their costumes over their regular clothes and bring a labeled bag for their costumes. (It's a long day to stay in your costume)
  • Children must have a costume appropriate for elementary school aged children as gory/scary/violent images are not good for our little ones.  Additionally, props, toy weapons, face masks, and make-up, etc., are not allowed.

*Should there be inclement weather Monday morning, the parade will still take place but be held indoors.  In that case, we will only have enough space for all staff and students so parents, unfortunately,  will not be able to view the parade. Any family who does not wish their child to participate should contact their child’s teacher in advance so that we may make appropriate arrangements.

Meadowside will once again be participating in the Thanks For Giving Scouts Annual Food Collection drive.  We will have donation boxes at our school beginning Tuesday, November 1st through Friday November 11th. All Students, Staff and Families are invited to donate canned or shelf-stable food.  Please click HERE for more information.  Thank you in advance for your donations!

Our Fun Run is this coming Wednesday!!!!!  Thank you to all our families who have already signed up for a fundraising page for our Fun Run.  If you haven’t -- please take a moment to sign up now.  Share with families and friends and help Meadowside PTA raise funds to support student and family programming all year long.  All proceeds raised from our families and friends will go directly to PTA to continue to support PTA programming which includes shirts for every child, family activities and more!   Click here for more information on the fun run itself.  Prizes will be awarded to classes and students who raise the most money and run the most laps so start your fundraising now at https://app.99pledges.com/fund...  (P.S. Each week information about Milford's providers & their programs are listed . You will also find family friendly activities & places to visit.  And don't forget that the CCC website is also updated with links to community resources. Remember to stay safe for Halloween!

Students observed what happened to their balloons when they mixed baking soda and vinegar . Then, we went outside to see what happens when you mix vinegar and cornstarch with baking soda.

Grade 3: Skeleton Bone Bridge

Students engineered a skeleton bone bridge to see how many candy pumpkins it could hold.

Grade 4: Wizard's Potion
