Good Afternoon Meadowside Families,
Thanks to all our students and staff for going pink today! We loved seeing Meadowside’s classrooms filled with Pink from t-shirts to socks to hair ribbons and shoes!
Thanks to the Milford Fire Department for visiting with our Kindergarteners today! They loved the visit and learned a lot about fire safety too!
Thanks to our PTA for sponsoring our Scholastic Book Fair this week. Our students were super excited to pick out their own books -- thank you to all our parent volunteers who helped our students shop!
And thank you also to the PTA for organizing and hosting our Trunk or Treat last friday night. Our students -- and families -- had so much fun in their costumes. From the amazing trunks to the dance party, fun was definitely had by all!

October School Bus Training: Meadowside Elementary School will be conducting its Fall school bus training exercise on Tuesday, October 25 in coordination with our student transportation provider, Durham School Services. This training will involve students practicing bus evacuation drills in the event there was ever an emergency on a school bus. Durham School Services will have Safety Coordinators on site during these training exercises which will take place in the morning time during regular drop off time for students. We appreciate your support as we continue with our mission to provide a safer school environment for our students, staff and visitors.
Fun Run: Thank you to all our families who have already signed up for a fundraising page for our Fun Run. If you haven’t -- please take a moment to sign up now. Share with families and friends and help Meadowside PTA raise funds to support student and family programming all year long. All proceeds raised from our families and friends will go directly to PTA to continue to support PTA programming which includes shirts for every child, family activities and more! Costume Parade: On Monday, October 31st, our students will have the opportunity to participate in a costume parade. Click here for more information including time, location and guidelines.
School Photos: Our picture day is scheduled for Wednesday November 9th -- with makeups on December 13th. Be on the lookout closer to the date for more information.
Water Bottles: Please remember to send your children to school with a refillable water bottle.
Clothing Items: This is the time of year that our lost and found starts to grow … please take a moment to write your child’s last name on their jackets/sweatshirts so that if misplaced we can return.

Just to mention two items. Each week information about Milford's providers & their programs are listed . You will also find family friendly activities & places to visit.
