Good Afternoon Meadowside Families,
This afternoon our parent conference sign up went live! Click HERE to sign up now for a conference during one of the following times:
Wednesday, October 19th 1:45-3:45 p.m.
Thursday, October 20th 5:30-8:00pm
Friday, October 21st 1:45-3:45 p.m.
All three days will be 1:15 dismissals. This year, all our conferences will be in person unless a parent/guardian requests a Google Meet link directly from the teacher. If you prefer a virtual session, please contact the teacher to request a Google Meet link to conduct your conference virtually after you have confirmed your conference time through My Conference Time Online Scheduler. We are looking forward to meeting with you to discuss your child’s learning!

Fun Run: Thank you to all our families who have already signed up for a fundraising page for our Fun Run. If you haven’t -- please take a moment to sign up now. Share with families and friends and help Meadowside PTA raise funds to support student and family programming all year long. All proceeds raised from our families and friends will go directly to PTA to continue to support PTA programming which includes shirts for every child, family activities and more! Costume Parade: On Monday, October 31st, our students will have the opportunity to participate in a costume parade. Click here for more information including time, location and guidelines.
School Photos: Later this fall LifeTouch will be here for student photos! Our picture day is scheduled for Wednesday November 9th -- with makeups on December 13th. Be on the lookout closer to the date for more information.
Water Bottles: Please remember to send your children to school with a refillable water bottle.
Clothing Items: This is the time of year, that our lost and found starts to grow … please take a moment to write you child’s last name on their jackets/sweatshirts so that if misplaced we can return.
STEM Lab Highlight: As an extension of their learning about fossils, fourth graders made coffee ground fossils in our STEM Lab this week. Here are the ingredients if you would like to try this at home with your child:
1 cup used coffee grounds
1/2 cup cold coffee
1 cup flour
1/2 salt
Wax paper
Mixing bowl
Small toys/objects for the impressions
*Mix ingredients together, knead the dough, and use the toys to make an impression. Then, let it dry overnight.

Scholastic Book Fair - The book fair will be held in school on October 18th and on October 20th in the evening for families. To volunteer please click here.
