Good Afternoon Meadowside Families,

It was great to see so many students and staff wearing gold today in support of childhood cancer awareness.  From gold bows to gold shirts -- we felt the support!

Next week Meadowside School will be conducting its first school wide Lock Down drill. This will only be a drill and will be conducted in accordance with the School Incident Management Protocols established by the district, and in collaboration with our local first responders. Please discuss the importance of our emergency drills with your children.  We thank you for your cooperation and partnership with keeping our schools safe.

Attendance and Dismissal Reminders: If your child is absent, please log in and report their absence through the  PowerSchool Parent PortalIf you have a change in dismissal, please remember to send in a note, or email your child’s teacher and our secretary Mrs. Stebbins (jstebbins@milforded.org) and our greeter Mrs. Megan Ansaldo (mansaldo@milforded.org).  Please be sure to send changes in dismissal by noon -- in the case of an emergency, please call our main office directly.  It is important to email all three in the case that one or more of our staff is absent that day.  Additionally, please be patient with us as we ask for IDs at the beginning of the year.  It is important that our staff can confirm who you are prior to releasing your child -- this is for the safety and protection of our students.  As we get to know you, we won’t ask for your identification every time - however, if our regular staff is out, we will need to do so again.
