News

Good Afternoon Meadowside,

Please take a moment to review Dr. Cutaia’s letter regarding the recent tragedy at Robb Elementary School in Texas. Events like this, regardless of distance or location, are challenging to understand and process. Please reach out to the school should you or your family need any additional support.

Our HEARTs were lifted this week by the opportunity to celebrate as a community some special accomplishments.  Monday we celebrated our school and district teachers, paraeducators and parents of the year, Tuesday we celebrated our Respect Ambassadors, and Wednesday our Fire Prevention Poster Winners.  Additionally we were fortunate enough to have Major Benjamin Blake visit our third grade classrooms.  Check out some pictures below!

We were also excited to have some of our incoming kindergarteners and their families in to visit our school.  While we talked with their parents about what to expect in the fall, our newest members of our learning community played together, listened to a story (Pete The Cat and his New School Shoes), and even drew and framed some fun self portraits.  We are so thankful to be able to do our Kick off to Kindergarten events in person this year!

Speaking of holding programs again in our school, thank you to our PTA and family volunteers for hosting a book fair for our students and families this week!  Our students were so excited to share with us the books they picked out -- and you know just how much we love to see students excited about reading!

With having visitors back in our schools, we did want to take a moment to remind everyone that if you are coming in for a program or classroom visit, please remember to always bring your identification card.  It is necessary for us to scan you into our system.

Next week is Career Week in the elementary schools.  Click here for an overview of what we have planned.
