News

Good afternoon

It was great to connect online with so many of our families during this week's conferences.  We always appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to talk about your child’s progress in school and appreciate the partnership that we have with you in your child’s educational journey here at Meadowside.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of our staff with any follow up questions.

As our building has opened up for visitors this spring, please remember to bring an identification card with you if you are coming into the building for any upcoming programs or meetings.  This is also true for parent pick ups including early dismissals.

Grade 5 Families - We were fortunate this week to have some visits from middle school music staff who stopped by to talk a little bit about music selections for sixth grade.  Please take a moment to review this document with your child about making a selection for 6th grade music.  Be on the lookout for more information later in the spring on our fifth graders upcoming transition into middle school.

Our next PTA meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 12th at 6:15pm in our Media Center.  We are hoping you will join us to talk about Spring Activities.  Our PTA is always looking for volunteers and new members to support their amazing programming for students and families.  Please read on for some important information from our PTA:

  • Teacher Appreciation Week is the first week in May and the planning has begun!  Help us celebrate our teachers by donating an item from our custom Amazon wish list.  Lots of recess activities to choose from.  For more information click here.

  • World Tour - April is traditionally the month we celebrate our family’s cultures.  This year we are asking families to email a link to a children’s song that represents their family’s culture.  For more information click here  Deadline for submitting songs is April 14th.  A playlist will be shared with classrooms and families!  Email links to ptameadowside@gmail.com

  • We are participating in the National PTA’s School of Excellence Program.  The school of excellence program is designed to strengthen the family-school partnership.  One of the requirements of the program is a final survey.  Last chance, please take a couple minutes to help us by filling out the survey here.
