Good Afternoon Meadowside Families,
We had a great week here at Meadowside and want to wish everyone a happy and safe winter break as we head off into our four day weekend. We are looking forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday, February 22nd which is officially TWOs DAY!
Tuesday 2.22.22 Spirit Day: Tuesday, 2/22/22, is officially Twos Day! In addition to some fun classroom activities, students can join us in celebrating by wearing tutus, ties, two crazy socks, or pigtails OR even being two of kind with a friend OR get creative with your own crazy twos ideas!
Wednesday 2.23.22 Early Dismissal and Vaccination Clinic: IN addition to Wednesday being an early dismissal, we want to remind everyone that there will also be a vaccination clinic at our school that afternoon from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. The district, in partnership with Griffin hospital, has scheduled a series of vaccination clinics for our students aged 5 - 11 at our elementary schools. Meadowside’s second clinic is coming up on February 23 from 4:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Students can attend any clinic (Full Schedule below). Please click HERE for more information. If you do plan to attend a clinic please be aware of the following:Many schools dismiss and the parking lots are busy until about 3:45 pm. We ask that you please not enter our parking areas before the 3:45 pm time. Buildings will open at 4 pm as we want to keep students safe during dismissal.

Every year, the month of March is National Reading Month. The start of this is initiated with ‘Read Across America Day’ on March 2. Many schools choose to engage in activities throughout the week which promote books as windows offering views of the world or mirrors where we allow children to see themselves within their text. Throughout the school year, Milford Public Schools work to help students develop a love of reading and an appreciation for where the pages of a book can take you. Meadowside’s Read Your HEART Out week in celebration of Read Across America is Monday, February 28 - Friday, March 4. We have a fun week planned including theme days, special read alouds and fun family activities! Look out in your child’s backpack next Friday for a full overview!
Please read on for a message from the MPS regarding Kindergarten Registration for the 2022 - 2023 School Year!
Greetings, MPS Families!
We are pleased to announce that Kindergarten Registration for the 2022-2023 school year will take place during February and March. If you have a child who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall, registration information will be posted to the district website www.milforded.org on February 22, 2022. You must register your child for Kindergarten at the school determined by your street address, unless placed by Pupil Personnel Services. School/Street Assignments are available on the district website under “District Information.”
Students must be at least age five (5) on or before December 31, 2022, in order to register for Kindergarten.
Current MPS preschool or Ready To Learn students do not need to complete an online registration packet.
If you need assistance with the registration portal, please contact the main office for your district assigned school. School contact information can be found on the district website under “ Schools.”
We are excited for your children to come to our schools! Fully registered families, please be on the lookout for more information from your school’s Principal about an in person kindergarten event in the spring. In the meantime, click here for a sneak peek of what to expect in Kindergarten!

Spring Conference Reminder: We are pleased to announce our Spring 2022 Elementary School Virtual Conference Schedule:
- Wednesday, March 30th 5:30-8:00 p.m.
- Thursday, March 31st 1:45-3:45 p.m.
- Friday, April 1st 1:45-3:45 p.m.
Our spring conferences will be held virtually and parents/guardians will once again have the opportunity to select a conference time through My Conference Time. We are looking forward to meeting with you to discuss your child’s learning! Spring conference sign up information will be live on our school website from February 28 at 9:00 a.m. through March 25 at 12:00 pm . Quick tip: Look for emails from “noreply@myconferencetime.com” when searching email for conference confirmation communications. *Please note that we will have a modified early dismissal time on the conference days to accommodate the conference schedule. Therefore, students will be dismissed on March 30th, March 31st and April 1st at 1:15pm.
