Good Afternoon Meadowside - I hope everyone is staying safe and dry today.  

Congratulations to fifth graders Lafayama and Shloka who placed in the District Fire Prevention Poster contest.  We are super proud of you and of all our students who participated.  

Thank you to our PTA for your continuing support of our school!  This month our PTA is supporting our HEART program through their Coin Drive.  Please consider sending in loose change to help out!  Our next PTA meeting is this Tuesday, February 8, at 6:15.

If you haven’t done so already, please help support our Fifth Grade by ordering your Stuffed Breads.  Stuffed Bread Fundraiser - orders  can be placed using the PTA store by 2/5/21 and delivery is on 2/11/2021 just in time for Super Bowl Sunday!

Spring Conferences - 

We are pleased to announce our Spring 2022 Elementary School Virtual Conference Schedule: 

  • Wednesday, March 30th 5:30-8:00 p.m.

  • Thursday, March 31st 1:45-3:45 p.m. 

  • Friday, April 1st 1:45-3:45 p.m.

Our spring conferences will be held virtually and parents/guardians will once again have the opportunity to select a conference time through My Conference Time.  We are looking forward to meeting with you to discuss your child’s learning! Spring conference sign up  information will be  live on our school website from  February 28 at 9:00 a.m. through March 25 at 12:00 pm . Quick tip: Look for emails from “noreply@myconferencetime.com” when searching email for conference confirmation communications. *Please note that we will have a modified early dismissal time on the conference days to accommodate the conference schedule.  Therefore, students will be dismissed on March 30th, March 31st  and April 1st at 1:15pm. 

Black History Month -  Throughout the year, there are many celebrations focused on acknowledging the history and contributions of different groups.  Black History Month begins on February 1. Valentine’s Day Treat - A thank you to our MPS food service who will be providing a special Valentine’s day treat to all students on 2/14

  • Coin Drive - Help PTA support the HEART Program by sending in any change donations to your child’s classroom teacher.  The class that raises the most money will win a prize!!  

  • Chipotle Fundraiser - February 5th from 4-8 at the Milford Chipotle.  A percentage of orders placed goes to Meadowside PTA, don’t forget to show them this flyer.

Key Reminders: 

  • Voluntary COVID Testing for Students:  In partnership with Progressive Diagnostics students (regardless of vaccination status) within our school will be eligible for weekly COVID testing.  More information can be found here

  • COVID Vaccine upload - Parents may voluntarily provide a copy of their child’s COVID immunization card now by uploading it using our secure form here. This information will only be accessible by school nurses and school administration.

  • If your child is absent from learning, either from our school building or from approved virtual learning,  you must log in and report the absence that day through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you have difficulty, please contact the main office.
