Good Afternoon Meadowside Families,
Thank you to our PTA for sponsoring the Fall Festival this week. We are so appreciative of the opportunities that you provide for our students and families! Thank you also for our Read-A-Thon -- it is great to see our students so excited about their reading -- and fantastic to see everyone wearing their Better Together Shirts today! Just like most everything -- reading is better together! When we talk about what we are reading, it improves our comprehension as we reflect, ask and answer questions, think about what happens next or what we might do differently. AND it is always fun to talk with a friend or family member about our favorite characters, our favorite parts, and our new learning! Families -- please take a moment to check out the flyer for more information and make a donation online here or send in to school next week. **All money sent into the school for PTA must be placed in an envelope that says PTA, your child’s name, and their teacher’s name.** REMINDER: Friday, October 15th - Meadowside Day at the Devon Subway - Show them this flyer or tell them you are from Meadowside when you order and 10% is donated to PTA.
If you haven’t already scheduled a conference, please click HERE and schedule now. Fall conference sign up information will be open through Monday, October 18th, at 12:00 p.m. Please note that we will have a modified early dismissal time on the conference days to accommodate the conference schedule. Therefore, students will be dismissed on October 20th, October 21st and October 22nd at 1:15pm.
As we shared last week, our Elementary Schools will be holding costume parades this year for our students. On Friday, October 29th our Meadowside students will be able to wear their costumes and participate in a brief parade outside with their grade level. Families will be invited to attend in a designated viewing area. More information including specific COVID safety protocols for visitors and students can be found here.
