9.3.21 Meadowside HEART Highlights

Good Afternoon Meadowside Families --

We had a great start to the new year here at Meadowside Elementary School.  It was wonderful to see our classrooms full with happy faces!  Classrooms are busy setting up their learning community and jumping right into talking about how they want to grow not only as readers, writers and problem solvers -- but also about how they want to grow as a classroom community of friends!  I have even heard lots of talk about how we learn better together - I love seeing our school year theme in action!

Please Read on for a couple of Important updates and reminders:

Car Pick Up at Dismissal: Thank you for your patience during dismissal this week- and please be assured that our dismissal time does shorten as everyone gets used to our practices.  For everyone’s safety, it is important if you are waiting in line on the roadway to:

  • Pull to the far right of the roadway.

  • Be a good citizen and do not block driveways.

  • Activate your flashers so other traffic is aware of your intentions.

  • Keep a 25-foot distance from the intersection of Meadowside Road and Seemans Lane while waiting in line.

Attendance: If your child is absent from learning, you must log in and report the absence that day through the PowerSchool Parent Portal

Changes in Dismissal: Please remember to send in a note or email in the morning (email to your classroom teacher, Mrs. Stebbins jstebbins@milforded.org and Mrs. Ansaldo mansaldo@milforded.org) with any changes in dismissal.

Teaching and Learning Hub: This week the Teaching and Learning Department shared with the Milford Public Schools Teaching and Learning Community Hub, an online space for our community to access curricular materials and resources as well as a virtual space to access additional information to support our home school partnership. You may access the Milford Public Schools Teaching and Learning Community Hub via this link.

Band and Strings Registration for Fourth and Fifth Grade:  Please click here for information and registration for our fourth and fifth Grade Band and Strings programs.  Teachers will be visiting our fourth and fifth grade classrooms this week and next to talk about our programming.
