Meadowside Thanksgiving Message:

Dear Families,

As we gather together to celebrate this season of gratitude, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you. Your support, kindness, and partnership make our school community truly special.

We are so thankful for the opportunity to watch your children grow, learn, and explore each day. It is because of you — your encouragement, your involvement, and your belief in us — that we are able to create a positive, nurturing environment for all our students.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

Warmly,
Meadowside Elementary School Staff

In honor of Thanksgiving -- and Thanksgiving Day Parades -- our fifth grade students engaged in an engineering design challenge where they designed and built floats for a parade!  Check out some of the photos we captured along the parade route today!

As you may have already heard from our very enthusiastic students: Our Penny Wars was a tremendous success!  Thank you to all our families who donated coins and bills -- what a fun fundraiser to support our fifth grade celebration!  Congratulations to …. Team Aliberti 41,379 points! Team Bellizzi came in 2nd place at 30,363 points and Team Lynch in 3rd place with 20,406 points. We raised a total of Total $1350.29! Thank you to all who contributed! AND Thanks to everyone who helped count!

Community Connection Center News: Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Reminder: Our amazing Meadowside PTA is happy to announce the Winter Festival on Friday, December 13th from 6-7:30PM at Meadowside.   Join us for the cake walk, raffle baskets, treats, crafts, and an opportunity to take pictures with Santa.  This is a free event!  But we do need your help!

PTA is also busy planning for the Holiday Shop which is scheduled during the day for December 3rd for Kindergarten through Second Grade and the 5th for Third through Fifth Grade -- click here for more information and here to sign up to volunteer.

Some Important Dates to Keep in Mind:

  • Wednesday November 27th: 1:25 Early Dismissal Day for Thanksgiving Recess

  • Thursday November 28th and Friday 29th: No school Thanksgiving Recess (Boys and Girls Club also closed)

Next week we will be conducting a fire drill. Conducting emergency drills (fire, crisis, lockdown, etc.) is one of the most important ways we enhance our preparedness for students and staff during an emergency. Drills allow us to practice what we need to do when an emergency arises in our school. Thank you for your support.

Looking a little bit Ahead:

See you in December!
