Heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in our beautiful Veteran’s Day Assembly Monday Morning. We are so thankful to be able to honor the Veterans in attendance as well as all those who have served for their country! A special thanks to our fifth grade emcees Jalinna and Everly, to Miss Morin and Ms. Walsh and to our student leaders as well as to each of our grade levels for their participation in honoring the Veterans day.
This Wednesday we celebrated World Kindness Day by wearing shirts with kind words on them. Meadowside is committed to showing HEART so we are all about being KIND too! Check out our Kindness is Cool Project!
Thank you to all our families who donated food for our annual food drive. Have some more to donate or didn’t get an opportunity this week, the food drive continues at Wassons Field this weekend.
Important Safety Reminder: The back parking lot is reserved for staff only during the school day. Parents should not be utilizing it for pick up in the afternoon as it poses a safety issue with students and staff loading on buses at the side of the building. It is important to note that cars can not block our school buses and per state law and safety protocols should never pass a bus with their stop sign extended.
Community Connection Center News: This week's CCC News contains information and links for a mix of resources & fun activities. Featured this week : Family Day: Fun with Printmaking in Fairfield, New Haven Parks Lighthouse Tours and The Caring Network: a grief support group of Bridges Healthcare. Also register for the Circle of Security Parenting class! Find these and more in our CCC Newsletter. Looking for other community resources, visit the CCC Website.
Next week we will be participating in our second lock down drill of the year. This will only be a drill and will be conducted in accordance with the School Incident Management Protocols established by the district, and in collaboration with our local first responders.
