Good Afternoon Meadowside Families - NOW is the time to sign up for fall parent teacher conferences!  Please read on for more information: 

Our Fall 2024 Elementary Conference Schedule went Live today for sign ups: 

  • Tuesday, October 15th  1:45 - 3:45 p.m.    

  • Wednesday, October 16th  5:30 - 8:00 p.m.

  • Thursday, October 17th 1:45 - 3:45 p.m. 

Parents/guardians can select a conference time through My Conference Time.   All conferences will be in person unless a  parent/guardian requests a Google Meet link directly from the teacher.  Fall conference sign up  information will be  live on our school website through Monday, October 14th, at 12:00 p.m.  If you prefer a virtual session, please contact the teacher to request a Google Meet link to conduct your conference virtually after you have confirmed your conference time through My Conference Time Online Scheduler.   We are looking forward to meeting with you to discuss your child’s learning!   Quick tip: Look for emails from “noreply@myconferencetime.com” when searching email for conference confirmation communications. 

Please note that we will have a modified early dismissal time on the conference days to accommodate the conference schedule.  Therefore, students will be dismissed on October 15th, October 16th, and October 17th at 1:15pm. 

Information for the Week Ahead: 

  • Fire Drill: There will be a fire drill this week. Conducting emergency drills (fire, crisis, lockdown, etc.) is one of the most important ways we enhance our preparedness for students and staff during an emergency. Drills allow us to practice what we need to do when an emergency arises in our school. 

  • Wednesday is a 1:25 Early Dismissal for Staff Professional Learning.

PTA Reminders: 

Our annual Meadowside Mash is scheduled for next Friday, October 11th -- Join us for a fun evening of Costumes, Trunk-or-Treating and Dancing!

Get ready for Meadowside PTA’s biggest fundraiser of the year! The Meadowside FUN RUN! Friday November 1, 2024.  Become a fundraising MVP, win some incredible prizes, and run for a great cause!  Start your fundraising page TODAY on 99Pledges and share with your family and friends.  This year, all proceeds made from the Fun Run will support the purchase of new benches for the playground as well as continued Meadowside programming.

This week's CCC News contains information and links for a mix of resources & fun activities.  Featured this week : Ambler Farm Days, New CT Laws as of October 1st and Beardsley Zoo's "Glow Wild". For additional information go to the CCC Website which is updated with links to community resources.

Attendance and Dismissal Reminders: If your child is absent, please log in and report their absence through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you have a change in dismissal,

please remember to send in a note, or email your child’s teacher and our secretary Mrs.Katelyn Donofrio (kdonofrio@milforded.org) and our greeter Mrs. Megan Ansaldo (mansaldo@milforded.org).  It is important to email all three in the case that one or more of our staff is absent that day.  Additionally, please be patient with us as we ask for IDs at the beginning of the year.  It is important that our staff can confirm who you are prior to releasing your child -- this is for the safety and protection of our students.  As we get to know you, we won’t ask for your identification every time - however, if our regular staff is out, we will need to do so again.
