NEWS

Good Afternoon Meadowside Families,

Thank you to all our parents and guardians for joining us at our open house last night. It was wonderful to see all our families in person and be able to share our excitement for the upcoming year. If you missed our Open House, you can check out our welcome video here.  Interested in learning more about our MPS Vision of the Learner and the Search Relationship Framework, check them out as well as other resources on the MPS Teaching and Learning Community Hub.

Another great opportunity for our parents to visit in our classrooms is during Parent Teacher conferences which are scheduled later this fall.  Tuesday, October 15 1:45 - 3:45 / Wednesday, October 16 5:30-8:00 p.m. / Thursday, October 17 1:45-3:45 p.m.

Fall conference sign up  information will be  live on our school website in early October.  Please note that on all three conference days we will have a modified early dismissal time of 1:15 to accommodate the conference schedule.

Today is the last day to order Spirit Wear from PTA.  Click HERE to check out Meadowside Merch

Next week we will be participating in our first lock down drill of the year.  This will only be a drill and will be conducted in accordance with the School Incident Management Protocols established by the district, and in collaboration with our local first responders. Please discuss the importance of our emergency drills with your children.  We thank you for your cooperation and partnership with keeping our schools safe.

Please read on for some important reminders about the week ahead:

Attendance and Dismissal Reminders: If your child is absent, please log in and report their absence through the PowerSchool Parent Portal.  If you have a change in dismissal, please remember to send in a note, or email your child’s teacher and our secretary Mrs.Katelyn Donofrio (kdonofrio@milforded.org) and our greeter Mrs. Megan Ansaldo (mansaldo@milforded.org).  It is important to email all three in the case that one or more of our staff is absent that day.  Additionally, please be patient with us as we ask for IDs at the beginning of the year.  It is important that our staff can confirm who you are prior to releasing your child -- this is for the safety and protection of our students.  As we get to know you, we won’t ask for your identification every time - however, if our regular staff is out, we will need to do so again.
