Happy New Year! It was wonderful to welcome everyone back this week!
As we head into colder (and possibly snowier) days, please remember to send your child in with warm weather wear as we still like to get outside for recess as much as possible. Please take a moment to label hats, gloves and coats - so that if items are misplaced we can get them back to you and your child!
Keep an eye on our website www.milforded.org and on local news channels for any changes in our school day due to weather. And always remember to have a back up child care plan in the event of an early dismissal.
Community Connection Center News: This week's CCC News contains information and links for a mix of resources & fun seasonal activities. Among the community services you will find links for the CT FoodShare's Mobile Pantry, TEAM's heating assistance and Milford's Park & Recreations Family Movie Night.
For Family fun you'll find several links to activities all around Connecticut! In the CCC News Feed you will see the SPARKLER "Ring in the New Year" Family Night for families with preschool or kindergarten students! This will take place at PDS on Tuesday, Jan. 9th from 5:00pm-7:30pm Contact the MFRC today for registration information by calling Kathy or Judy at 203-783-3626. Remember that the CCC Website is updated with links to community resources. To locate the CCC’s web page go to Milford’s main page and click on the Menu tab & scroll down under district Information to find the Community Connections Centers!

Attendance and Dismissal Reminders: If your child is absent, please log in and report their absence through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. For directions of how to fill out the student attendance form please click HERE. As a reminder each student is allowed 9 parent excused absences in the school year any further absences can only be excused with a doctor’s note. If you have a change in dismissal, please remember to send in a note, or email your child’s teacher and our secretary Miss Jones (jjones@milforded.org) and our greeter Mrs. Megan Ansaldo (mansaldo@milforded.org). It is important to email all three in the case that one or more of our staff is absent that day.
