Good Evening Meadowside Families -

Congratulations to our December HEART Award Winners and to our student leaders in Grades 2 and 5 who helped talk about HEART at today's HEART Assembly.  AND of course a big thank you to Miss Morin and Ms. Finnegan and our PEP Squad for opening our program on Effort!

Thank you to our PTA for  hosting our annual Winter Festival!  And to Miss Morin and Santa for bringing Holiday JOY to our families!

This week our fifth graders engaged in a debate focused on whether Chocolate Milk should be served in our Cafeteria.  They took their job very seriously -- writing letters -- engaging in research -- and ultimately presenting their opinions with evidence in front of their peers and invited staff.  Miss Antoinette and I reviewed the votes at the close of the event and are pleased to announce that chocolate milk is staying for now!  The debate is part of our fifth grade curriculum unit and is one that we all enjoy as the kids love to have a voice and authentic audience.Thank you Mrs. Bellizzi and Ms. Aliberti for such an engaging learning experience.

Our Fifth Grade students have also been busy in the STEM lab making mini compost bins!  Check out some photos of their work below.
