Before we jump into talking about next week -- we have some fun photos to share from our Fun Run from last Friday, our Costume Parade from Tuesday and our HEART Assembly today!
Thank you so much to all our families who donated to our Meadowside PTA and to our volunteers who helped make our Run Day such an amazing success! We are so appreciative of you all!

Today was our first HEART Assembly of the year. Congratulations to our HEART award winners and thank you to our Amazing PEP squad and Students Leadership for being key players in our fun! At our Assembly, we celebrated our Fun Run Successes, talked about the different components of HEART (Honesty - Effort - Attitude - Respect -Teamwork), and then, focusing on our first component honesty, honored this month's HEART award recipients!

Picture Day is this Monday, November 6th. You can place your order on mylifetouch.com before Picture Day, using the Picture Day ID found on your flier which was backpacked home, through Lifetouch email communications or search for it online at mylifetouch.com.
Thanks for Giving Food Drive: Our Annual Thanks for Giving Food Drive sponsored by the Scouts has started. All next week we will be collecting canned or shelf stable food items in our collection box located in our lobby for the Thanks for Giving food drive.
Community Connection Center News: This week's CCC News contains information and links for CT Foodshare, Daylight savings time and CT voting information. Fun for your family can be found by clicking on links for a list of ten great playgrounds for you to enjoy together. Learn about "Operation Gratitude" and write a note to support our veterans. Milford Public Schools is hosting a community resource fair on Wednesday, November 15th at the Parsons Complex from 9:00 - 11:00 The Resource Fair will share multiple organizations who can assist your family. The resources will include, but not limited to medical assistance, mental health support, food assistance, student activities for before and after school, disability information, and social emotional learning activities. - Thursday, November 23 and Friday November 24: No school in observance of Thanksgiving
Attendance and Dismissal Reminders: If your child is absent, please log in and report their absence through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. For directions of how to fill out the student attendance form please click HERE. As a reminder each student is allowed 9 parent excused absences in the school year any further absences can only be excused with a doctor’s note. If you have a change in dismissal, please remember to send in a note, or email your child’s teacher and our secretary Miss Jones (jjones@milforded.org) and our greeter Mrs. Megan Ansaldo (mansaldo@milforded.org). It is important to email all three in the case that one or more of our staff is absent that day.
